STATEMENT BY SPAM ARREST LLC CONCERNING MAILBLOCKS LITIGATION

Spam Arrest and Mailblocks have amicably settled a longstanding patent lawsuit pending in federal court in Seattle. The terms of the settlement are confidential, and the two companies are now requesting that the Court dismiss the case against Spam Arrest pursuant to an agreed order. Spam Arrest and Mailblocks are the only companies in the United States that are officially licensed to offer web-based spam email filtering using Mailblocks' patented technology.
Mailblocks has been acquired by America Online, Inc. Spam Arrest offers free and paid challenge/response protected e-mail services and is based in Seattle, Washington.
